Carpentry framing finishing siding. They did exchange it for me and we are good so farI'm super happy with my purchase on this pouch. After wearing several different pouches over the past 20 years I am so glad that I finally stepped it up a notch and purchase something that was in the higher end category. This pouches obviously made of high quality leather with very large rivets and heavy duty stitching. My only complaint is that I wish both pouches on both sides had a spot for pencils and markers. Currently the way I have it set up it is on the left and I am a righty and if I were to reverse the pouches the pencil spot would be in the back side. Other than that I can't complain about this pouch and would definitely recommend. The nice thick belt is definitely a plus.Let me start out by saying I really wanted to like this belt.Upon receiving it, out of the box it appears very well constructed. Nice wide belt. Soft but thick leather. It's not stiff like cheap leather belts. The belt size fit me well both inside over pants and outside over bulky winter clothing. I'm a waist size 40 and had maybe one more set of holes left when worn with bulky outdoor winter clothing. It has a lot of pockets inside and outside of the bags to hold small tools. See my included pics for more detail. The belt does have a nicely positioned slot for a framing square which works quite well. Now onto my issues with this tool belt.First, and this is true for most belts of this style, the bags don't stay where you put them when you take off the belt. So every time you put them on you have to slide the bags to where you want them to sit on your side.My second big issue is the location of the tape measure holder. It works very well and is quite convenient as I work with the tape in my right hand. I'm right handed so my most used tools all go on my right side. And here's the problem with this belt. If the tape measure is on the holder it literally blocks access to all of the small pockets inside the bag. I can't easily get to my pencil, utility knife, marker or anything else in that bag. I suppose if you use a small 12' tape that's thinner it's not so bad but with a 25' wide tape it became unusable. I found myself either leaving the tools out of the bag or leaving my tape off. In either case it defeats the purpose of wearing a tool belt as I had to go back and pick up whatever wasn't in my belt. This belt would probably work much better for a left-handed person since the best slots for pencils/marker are on the left bag.Upon further review this belt basically mimics the Occidental Leather 5080 Pro Framer belt. The only difference is this belt has a slot to hang the tape measure on, whereas the occidental uses a pouch to contain the tape. The pouch on the Occidental holds the tape up higher and therefore out of the way of the tools in the bag itself. If ur bigger belts way too small. I'm a 38 waist n belt don't fit. Can get it to latch on last holes if I really squeeze n now gotta spend more money on belt if I decide to keep bags.I have my own home repair business and I purchased the OX Tools Four Piece Construction Rig about 6 months ago now and I'm loving it. It saves me so much energy not having to bend over and dig through my tool box or climb down the ladder to get something i can't carry....And no more climbing a ladder or being up on a roof unsafly holding s*** with my hands. I had an electricians tool bag before which was fine for small hand tools, nails and screws, a carpinters pincel and a tape measurer, but that wasn't enough for me.With this tool bag I have a small pouch for screws or nails, a small trash / dump pouch, a random tool pouch (i usually carry my stud finder in here becasue I have more space than i need), a tape measurer pouch, a designated slot for my carpinters pincel & a spare, a place for my 10 in 1 Kline multi purpose screw driver, my folding utility knife, my mini pry bar, my hole punch, and still have room for whatever other tools i need inside the pouch. The clip on the top of the main pouch is great for clipping my dewalt 20v impact driver. And of course its great having the hammer holder in the back or the option to put it in for front for quick access.I'm sure the more expensive bags are great but this was in the price range I could afford at the time and I've very happy so far!I read all the reviews pros and cons before I went ahead with my purchase. I am writing this review to clear up some misleading info I read. Just for perspective I have been a journeyman carpenter for over 30 years. This set of bags is awesome and will serve well under tough conditions for years the price is also phenomenal. There is nothing wrong with the way the speed square fits contrary to what I read in a review. Yes they do have some weight to them but quite frankly, If they seem too heavy for you, maybe you should try something easier then construction! I also read someone complaining about how the bags wouldn't slide very easily on the belt. Two points I would like to make about this complaint first when I set my bags up the way I like them, I don't want my bags sliding around when I'm working also they probably will "loosen up" as they break in. In closing these are great bags and a steal at the price! The only criticism that I could say about the bags is they need to present them better in the pictures. Specifically ,the right hand pouch doesn't show the inside of the pouch where the smaller pockets are for your smaller hand tools such as a utility knife. Something to keep in mind genrally when reading any of these reviews I .....( SOME PEOPLE JUST LIKE TO B---- )The bags are great but I had to cut a rivet out for the speed square to fit properly. The belt is not suted for the average sized male but if you order the larger belt one can do some quick work with a few rivets and make it to a custom fit. Overall construction is very good, its a bit on the heavy side but manageable, Im not a professional contractor but purchased this for home use and cary more than one would have in these bags and can say this thing is a great bang for your buck.I had it for two weeks now and im really happy !Using it for Drylining and can’t say anything bad about it ! Pockets not too big and plenty of space to put stuff!Had this belt on a week now and it's a treat. Slipping between studs with bags full of gear and the only time iv got hung up is when iv got my nail gun on the hammer loop. Everything is easy enough to get too even when walking plates or hanging from rafters.Hammer loop in the front works well ever with an 18" handle.Speed square slot is perfect.Left hand bag is a bit a pain to get into at times but I found if I drop the chalk line out of the smaller pocket above theres no issue.Oh and one more small thing is the nail bags should be on the left and the pocket for the nail strips on the right but I think that's just personal preference....Il be rocking this for a few years yetAmazing good quality product. Only thing my brother wanted for his 40th birthdayA really sturdy tool belt with pouches - the only disadvantage with the tool belt and pouches is that when it gets wet the dye comes out onto your work clothes so if you can live with this for a while then you couldn't get a better belt and pouchesGood quality leather , excellently constructed, should last years
